In January 2024 the project “ONLY: Open a New Leader in Yourself” was launched - an educational program for female staff of Ukrainian higher education institutions that will help develop leadership and innovation in Ukrainian universities. The project is being implemented by Kingston University, Lviv Polytechnic National University, and Tech StartUp School with the support of the British Counsil Ukraine within Going Global Partnerships Gender Equality Partnerships program.
Professor Maryna Vasylieva, Vice-Rector of the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy, became a participant in the project. Participation in the project involves engagement in activities throughout 2024.
On March 20, 2024, a strategic meeting of 34 project participants from different Ukrainian higher education institutions took place. The event was held in a mixed format. Lviv Polytechnic National University hosted the participants and speakers in Lviv. Several participants and speakers were able to join online. Welcoming speeches were made by Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykhailo Vinnytskyi, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University Prof. Yurii Bobalo, representative of the British Council Ukraine, manager Yuliia Sobol, representative of Tech StartUp School Prof. Nazar Podolchak, representative of Kingston University, Prof. Martha Mador.
The invited speakers were: Ukrainian manager-economist, founder of the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School Pavlo Sheremeta and practical psychologist, expert in self-development Olena Chorna.
The participants will continue to work intensively on a weekly basis in an online format.
